“I Love MY Job” is the theme of Optical Summit and the Friday night ‘kick off’ event is centered around inspiration. Inspirational Summit will feature fast-paced, motivational talks from highly influential business owners and entrepreneurs. Occasionally, hearing an alternate perspective can help us see things differently, turn challenges into opportunities, or replace complexity with simpler approaches. Enjoy live music, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. All three Inspirational Summit speakers will be scheduling one on one time with anyone who wishes to request advice or ask more in depth questions. ALEXANDRA DIAZ - A native of Chile, passionate jogger and mother of two, Alexandra Diaz is an animator, artistic director, bestselling co-author and co-producer of the show "Cuisine futée, parents presses" which airs on Télé-Québec for its 5th season. Ms Diaz has covered cultural news for more than 15 years alongside Quebec's information leaders, and will be sharing her inspirational journey with us on Friday evening at Inspirational Summit. CHRISTIANE GERMAIN - Co-founder and co-president of Group Germain Hotels, Mrs. Germain’s dynamic, tenacious, inventive and entrepreneurial qualities have been honored by Canada’s business people and by the tourism community. Raised in a family of entrepreneurs from Quebec City, Christiane became familiar with the realities of the business world at a young age. Now boasting over 30 years in the industry, words like ‘‘Dynamism’’, ‘‘Work’’, ‘‘Determination’’, ‘‘Innovation’’, ‘‘Standing out’’, and ‘‘Vision’’ await you as Mrs. Germain conveys a message that will truly inspire us all. PIERRE-YVES MCSWEEN – Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), MBA and a certificate in journalism from the University of Montreal, Pierre writes two daily columns on business and economics on the shows Puisqu’il faut se lever and Le Québec maintenant, hosted by Paul Arcand and Paul Houde respectively. In September 2016, Pierre published En as-tu vraiment besoin?, which has been a bestseller in Quebec since its release, all genres combined. In fact, more than 150,000 copies have already been sold, making it one of the greatest bestsellers of recent years in Quebec. Since September 2017, Pierre has also been at the helm of L’indice McSween, a consumer and personal finance magazine, on Télé-Québec. We are delighted to have Pierre joining us at Optical Summit! |
